Shop Online for Your Favorite Music

Within Windows Media Player 10, the Digital Media Mall lets you shop for the latest tracks from your favorite artists right in the Player. Select the store you're interested in and look for your favorite songs, movies, and videos. Whether you're shopping by price or selection, you're sure to find what you're looking for.

To begin, simply register with a store, then start shopping. You can register with as many online stores as you want, and then easily switch between the stores. The active store is displayed at the top of the list in the Player.

To browse for more online stores, click Browse all Online Stores. A Web page on the Windows Media Web site is displayed with links to music, video, and radio retailers that provide online stores for the Player. You must be connected to the Internet to browse the online stores.

Sync Your Music to a Portable Device

After you've downloaded some songs to your computer, you might want to copy a few to your portable music player. Here's a quick way to copy music purchased from MSN Music to a device such as the Rio Carbon:

1.	In Windows Media Player 10, click Library.
2.	In the pane on the left, expand the All Music category (by clicking the plus sign next to it), expand the Purchased Music category, and then click MSN Music. All of the songs that you've purchased from MSN Music appear in the pane in the middle.
3.	Right-click a song that you want to copy, point to Add to, and then click Sync List. (If the Sync List is displayed, you can also drag and drop files to the list.) The song is added to the Sync List in the pane on the right.
4.	Plug the Rio Carbon into a USB port on your computer. If this is the first time that you've connected the device to your computer, a wizard is displayed that helps you synchronize (copy) songs to your device. Click Manual or Automatic as appropriate, and then click Finish. Set up Auto Sync once, and every time you plug in your device, Windows Media Player 10 will make sure it gets filled with the music that you want so that every new song you download and every new CD that you rip gets to your device automatically.
5.	At the bottom of the Sync List, click Start Sync.
6.	The song is copied to the Rio Carbon.
